Solid/gum stock silicone/High Consistency Rubber (HCR)

  • Prior to curing the material is a malleable block that is compression moulded into the desired shape.

    Low thermal conductivity.

  • Softness is measured in Shore Hardness, the higher the number, the harder it is.
    Comes in any colour.
    Excellent resistance to heat or cold.

Liquid silicone/Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR)

  • Similar properties to solid silicone, liquid silicone is injection moulded rather than compression moulded.
    More suited to medical applications than HCR.

  • Similar to solid silicone but has higher transparency and can feel softer to the touch.
