How is the Maya Range an example of design for re-use?

The Maya range was conceived as part of a partnership between Morrama and PPK looking to create sustainable refills for the mass market. The Maya range consists of durable outer cases which are customisable to brands and works with paper based refills. The various cosmetic cases across the range are designed to be simple and easy to use, with the refills providing a small tweak to a more sustainable consumer behaviour.

Materials

The majority of refills are made from plastics without end of life consideration. Maya refills are made from paper pulp and are designed to be rinsed and then composted or recycled. The paper refills use bamboo and bagasse (a bi-product of the sugarcane industry) resources, reducing CO2 production.
